But <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.realitytea.com\/tag\/captain-jason-chambers\/\">Captain Jason Chambers<\/a><\/strong>, his new boss on <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.realitytea.com\/show\/below-deck-down-under\/\">Below Deck Down Under<\/a><\/strong>, can confirm one of Ben&#8217;s latest statements. But you know what? The stars have aligned, my little darlings, and I am here, and I am back,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After touching on his failed engagement, Ben explained that he crossed paths with Captain Jason. To celebrate their encounter, Ben took Captain Jason out to &#8220;lunch at the Outback Steakhouse, because he&#8217;s Australian. It&#8217;s the only Australian place I know,&#8221; Ben joked. During their lunch, Ben learned that Captain Jason&#8217;s chef had just backed out of filming, so <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realitytea.com\/2026\/01\/29\/below-deck-down-under-captain-jason-explains-chef-ben-robinson-almost-not-hired\/\">Ben came out of retirement<\/a>, eager to help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The outcome of this story is real, but what about the other details? Well, according to Captain Jason, who recently spoke with <a href=\"https:\/\/decider.com\/2026\/02\/03\/below-deck-down-under-captain-jason-chambers-chef-ben-outback-steakhouse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Decider<\/a>, Ben wasn&#8217;t lying. &#8220;He definitely took me to the Outback Steakhouse for lunch,&#8221; Captain Jason stressed. He further admitted that he &#8220;had a good steak,&#8221; and he &#8220;might [even] go back there someday,&#8221; and &#8220;Maybe,&#8221; just maybe, &#8220;that\u2019ll be my and Ben\u2019s anniversary thing,&#8221; he laughed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But on a serious note, \u201c[Ben] had just <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realitytea.com\/2026\/01\/28\/below-deck-chef-ben-robinson-cancelled-engagement-spent-huge-amount\/\">gone through a breakup<\/a>. So this also was a chance for him to get away,\u201d Captain Jason noted. After all, \u201cBen\u2019s a total professional and a business owner, so he really doesn\u2019t need to do a charter season anymore.\u201d So, \u201cIt was a blessing for him to pack up his bags and get to Canouan as quickly as he did.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bravotv.com\/below-deck-down-under\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Below Deck Down Under<\/a> continues Mondays at 8\/7c on Bravo.
