Another chapter in the royal feud between Prince William<\/a> <\/strong>and Prince Harry<\/a><\/strong> could be playing out, with their late mother at the center of it all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On August 31, 1997, the two brothers\u2019 worlds were turned upside down when Princess Diana<\/a><\/strong> was killed in a car crash in Paris. The 30th anniversary of that tragedy is less than two years away. There are plans for a special tribute in the works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It appears the brothers each have a different way of revisiting their mother\u2019s tragic death on the small screen. That could generate more friction between the pair, with rival TV tributes maybe on the horizon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prince Harry is no longer performing his royal duties, but he\u2019ll never forget his mother\u2019s death. A source recently told Radar<\/a> that: \u201cHarry is planning a series about Diana in 2027. He\u2019s focused on finding the right partners, and he\u2019s already spoken with producers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe wants to do a forensic look at her crash, and it could be one of the TV events of the century if it\u2019s done right.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to reports, Harry wants Archewell Productions, the company he and his wife, Meghan Markle, founded, to produce it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The idea of a documentary may not be appealing to William, but knowing his brother intends to release this project may change his mind. \u201cIf he hears Harry is doing a warts-and-all film on their mom, he will want to do a gentler one. The 30th anniversary of Di\u2019s death could turn into a battle of their documentaries,\u201d one insider claimed. A documentary rivalry may cause irreparable damage to the brothers\u2019 relationship<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt would also mean William would probably cut Harry out of his life forever,\u201d according to the insider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIf Harry is now going to do another massive Netflix show, effectively claiming her legacy, William will have to fight back, whether that\u2019s with an interview or a documentary of his own,\u201d another insider believes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since moving to the United States, Harry has been highly critical of the monarchy, although William and his wife, Kate Middleton, have remained silent. The brothers have been in public on occasion, although it has been rare. In 2021, they unveiled a statue of Diana in the Sunken Gardens of Kensington Palace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To this day, there is plenty of mystery surrounding their mother\u2019s death and her companion, Dodi Fayed. In 1999, French investigators ruled the crash to be an accident. However that has been in doubt, with Dodi\u2019s father, Mohamed Al Fayed claiming there may have been foul play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
